The Women’s Industry Network (WIN) announced it has awarded 40 scholarships to students pursuing post-secondary collision repair programs in 2025 -- its highest number of recipients to date. The record-setting awards were selected from nearly 120 applications, also a new high for the organization.
The scholarships, ranging in value from $500 to $2,500, were presented through WIN’s Student Tuition and Scholarship Program. In partnership with the Collision Repair Education Foundation (CREF), the program aims to support aspiring technicians and encourage more women to enter and succeed in the collision repair industry.
“WIN’s Student Tuition and Scholarship Program awards worthy recipients on two financial levels, ranging from $500 up to $2,500, based on the selection team’s evaluation of their application and the review process,” said Laura Kottschade, chair of WIN’s 2025 Student Relations Committee. “Those awarded can also receive well-stocked new tool kits, which are valued at more than $500.”
Scholarship recipients were honored across four categories -- Champions, Stars, Trailblazers and Legends. The Champions and Stars levels recognized top candidates with both tuition support and toolkits. The Trailblazers and Legends categories, created last year to accommodate the surge in applicants, provided either a stipend or toolkit to additional awardees.
Beyond financial support, all applicants, including non-recipients, gain access to WIN’s student engagement program, which includes mentorship, peer networking and industry-led discussions aimed at long-term retention and career development.
Each applicant also received a complimentary WIN Student Membership as part of the application process. Instructors are encouraged to engage with the program as well, with WIN offering free educator memberships through its Pay It Forward campaign.
Funding for the scholarship initiative is sourced from WIN’s general fund, partner sponsors and its annual scholarship walk.
“To simplify and increase participant involvement in 2025, we have again separated the Scholarship Walk and the Scholarship Fundraiser,” said Christina Sepulveda and Pam Watson, WIN Scholarship Fundraising co-chairs. “Our fundraising will now be open through Oct. 31, 2025, as we have partnered with RallyUp and created the WIN Scholarship Fundraiser.”
